The site is located within an area designated as Dundonald Leisure Park. This designation allows for tourism, outdoor recreation or open space development.

The property doesn’t currently have planning consent for residential development but has a history of housing being approved for the site under the following references:

Y/2006/0019/F – FPP for erection of 45 apartments (Lapsed)

Y/2004/0705/F – FPP for demolition of existing dwelling and erection of 27 apartments (Lapsed)

Y/2000/0731/O – OPP for conversion of existing dwelling to 6 apartments and erection of 12 apartments (18 units) (Lapsed)
