Breenaun, Maam is a rural townland, approximately 12 kilometres Southeast of the Village of Leenane, County Galway and 2 kilometres Northwest of the village of Maam along R336 Leenane to Maam road. This is a mountainous region in the Maam valley with the Maumturk Mountains to the Southwest and the Partry Mountains to the Northeast. The valley is drained by the Bealnabrack River which flows into Lough Corrib.
