Sean Furey Auctioneers

Sean Furey was the first to open a building society office in Buncrana; The Irish Permanent in 1982. He then expanded into auctioneering and insurance brokerage providing a complete financial package for home purchasers, including mortgages, a complete range of life assurances, home insurance, motor insurance, Bureau De Change and Western Union Money Transfer.

Sean is now retired and the businesses are run by his two sons Colm & Dara. Dara has worked full time in the business since 1996 and is now the managing director while Colm has worked full time since 2000 and is also a director. They continue to run offices in Buncrana & Carndonagh respectively.

Dara Furey has been offering mortgage advice to customers since gaining his mortgage diploma in 1999. He qualified as an estate agent in 1998 and an auctioneer and valuer in 1999. Since then he has been carrying out various activities in this area of business and now has considerable experience and skills in this industry

 Colm graduated from NUI Maynooth with a degree in French & Theology in 1995 and a post graduate diploma in media & communications in 1997 . He also spent time working in France after graduating from college and is a fluent French speaker. In 2010, Colm qualified as a Certified Insurance Practitioner, having  completed his exams.

 Sean Furey Auctioneers offer a complete package to clients including valuation, sales, sourcing property, negotiating and rental. Dara is a member of The Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers and operates under their code of conduct.

 The Furey family are committed to continuing education for themselves and their staff which is reflected by the high professional standards maintained in both offices.
