Belle Isle Estate is looking for a talented and innovative chef who will be able to run their own establishment in our fantastic restaurant building. There is a restaurant liquor license already in place and the kitchen is fully outfitted and ready to go. The main dining room sits 40, with 20 more guests able to be accommodated around the lounge and bar area, additionally an outdoor terrace accommodates up to 6 tables. There is an established vegetable garden in the nearby Walled Garden with a large polytunnel to grow produce year round. Accommodation to the chef can be offered as part of the restaurant let, subject to negotiation.
At the center of the estate is a 17th century castle with self catering apartments and cottages dotted around the island. You will have immediate access to the captive audience of 26 castle guests and 60 cottage guests when operating at full capacity in high season. The local eating-out market is also extremely active with weekend sittings in the past being completely booked out.
