The Allianz Garden Show Ireland is on this weekend in a fabulous festival of flowers, food and fun. is proud to be one of the main sponsors of this great event. 

A celebration of this country’s rich local heritage is the theme permeating the Show and being embraced by participants throughout the event which includes new features, some stunning gardens and and a busy programme of talks and demos.

Here are just some of the headlines!

• Joe Swift, familiar to viewers of BBC Gardeners World and anchor-man of BBC’s Chelsea coverage, will be at the Show on Friday 5 May to share his 30 years of garden design experience.

• Building on the success of 2016 Year of Food & Drink celebrations, the 2017 Show welcomes back Paula McIntyre as resident chef and also has demos on Saturday 6 May by cookery expert, Thane Prince, a judge on BBC’s Big Allotment Challenge and a regular contributor on Ready, Steady, Cook.

• Art in the Garden events to celebrate local heritage include a collection of ‘tree’ hangings specially created for the Show by quilt makers from around Northern Ireland, talented young singers from Sestina, a brass ensemble from the City of Belfast Youth Orchestra and the Sing for Life Choir as well as our ever popular Martello Jazz Band.
