Belfast's CastleCourt sold for £125 million

Belfast’s CastleCourt shopping centre has been bought for £125 million by investment firm Wirefox. The Holywood based firm has purchased the city centre shopping complex from Hermes Investment Management and is regarded as one of the largest commercial deals of recent times in Northern Ireland.

Pub chain JD Wetherspoon has been granted permission to pursue a £2m project to renovate a former Belfast church into a bar. Plans to redevelop the Methodist Church on Belfast’s University Road were initially lodged three years previously, marking significant progress in the project.

£125m deal to purchase CastleCourt to be completed this week

A £125m deal to purchase Belfast’s CastleCourt shopping centre is due to be completed this week. The city centre site has been owned by Hermes property fund since 2002. Wirefox, a Holywood property firm, headed by BJ Eastwood, is believed to have been interested in the retail site for some time.

Holywood pub to become luxury apartments in £2m scheme

A Holywood pub looks set to be renovated into luxury apartments as part of a £2m redevelopment.Lacuna Developments is hoping to renovate 1 Stewart's Place and the Old Priory Inn, Holywood, into new luxury apartments after buying the site in January. The Northern Ireland developer has put forwarded plans to redevelop the listed building on Stewart's Place as three one-bedroom luxury apartments.
