Antrim Technology Park was developed in the 1980’s by the Department of Enterprise Trade & Investment (now Invest Northern Ireland) and was opened in 1986.

The Park was specifically developed for the technology industry; with an extract from the original occupational leases stating the following directive; “The landlord (Invest NI) desires to encourage the establishment in Northern Ireland of enterprises which make use of high technology operating in the fields of electronics pharmaceuticals biotechnology light engineering research and development and design and to that end has developed Antrim Technology Park”.

The investment comprises thirteen buildings, leased car parking and a number of potential development sites. Within the Park are four units which have been sold off
on long leasehold interests.

Of the thirteen buildings, two are factory units (20,266 sq ft and 43,525 sq ft), whilst the remaining own-door units are predominantly office use ranging in size from 1,830 sq ft to 12,180 sq ft. The Park includes service roads with a good level of dedicated car parking to each unit and substantial amount of landscaping, mature trees and shrubbery throughout.

Directions

Antrim is located on the shores of Lough Neagh, approximately 19 miles north west of Belfast. The town is well served by both road and rail communications with access to the M2 motorway at Dunsilly (Junction 1) and Rathbeg (Junction 6). Belfast International Airport is within a 15-minute drive with Larne and Belfast docks within 25 to 35 minutes’ drive time.

The town is considered to be one of Northern Ireland’s key industrial distribution locations with available transport infrastructure that provides easy access to all the main external gateways for Northern Ireland. Key industrial estates in the area include Rathenraw, Antrim Business Park, Enkalon and Springfarm. The Junction is a major shopping destination (Outlet and Retail Park) on the fringe of the town in close proximity to the M2 motorway.
