Down a little hill from the main house is a terrific 4 bedroom cottage. It is intended as either overflow from the house or as a separate, independent rental. While its not the same level of luxury as the main house, it is attractive, comfortable and thoughtfully designed and decorated. We like it very much and we think you will also.
Enter into a small hallway that opens to a utility room that has a washer and dryer. Turn left into the open plan living/kitchen area. The sitting area has a black leather sofa and easy chairs and a wood stove. There a television and video player, CD player and radio. Sliding glass doors open to a large deck and a lawn area that has lovely views of the mountains and glimpses of Bantry Bay. Its a peaceful and gorgeous setting. The dining table can open to seat 8 comfortably.
The galley kitchen, next to the living/dining room, is modern, efficient and equipped with everything one could want including an oven, hob, refrigerator-freezer, microwave and a dishwasher. The dishes and other kitchen supplies have been chosen with care and excellent taste. There are two delightful bedrooms on this level. Both have twin beds that can be pushed together, if you like. The bedrooms are colorful and bright, very friendly. The large hallway bathroom has a shower cubicle. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and one with twin beds. These rooms, too, are bright and cheerful. The hallway tiled bathroom has a shower-over-tub.
This guest house cannot be seen from the main house. Its on its own land, peaceful and serene. Its a terrific holiday accommodation. Please note that the spa facility and the jacuzzi and garden are not available to people renting the guest house as a separtate rental from the main house.
