Description

Detached on mature southerly-oriented lawned gardens of about half an acre. This characterful mid-20th century bungalow residence is full of appeal, offering c. 197.4sq.m / 2,125sq.ft. living accommodation including a sunlounge / conservatory, a roofspace den and adjoining bedroom; the principal reception rooms intercommunicating to make an ideal area for entertaining, or to enhance everyday family life. Within walking distance of a citybound bus route, Hotwell is ideally situated for commuters wishing to link up with the DART at Bray, the N11 / M11 / M50, or the LUAS at Stillorgan.

Enniskerry's reputation as a picturesque village at the gateway to Co Wicklow has long been established, but as a community and a place to live it has much more to offer. Neighbourhood shops, friendly local hostelries, a choice of restaurants go hand-in-hand with local churches and primary schools; golf at Powerscourt and other great leisure amenities including the well-managed Bog Meadow; and for nature lovers Knocksink Wood.

World-famous Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall are close by, with the retail Pavilion a popular venue; while just down the road one finds Avoca Handweavers in Kilmacanogue.

Hotwell offers a choice setting; with a backdrop consisting of both Little and Great Sugarloaf mountains; where the lovingly maintained gardens provide a variety of plants, shrubs and bushes giving year-round colour against expansive lawns to the front and rear. There is ample parking and turning; a gated side courtyard leading to the detached garage. While the property could reward some updating, with flair and imagination this would provide the
opportunity to create a signature residence in a sought-after location where country living is in touch with suburban convenience.
