Dangan Lodge Cottages is a cluster development of traditional farm cottages, consisting of two x one-bedroom, three x two-bedroom apartments and the main house, which has three-bedrooms. The main house was once the gate lodge at the southern entrance to Dangan House, now demolished. These cottages have been sympathetically restored and are individually decorated to a very high level. Traditional values have been combined with comfort and quality by the use of pleasing colour schemes, attractive, contemporary furnishing and luxury in the en-suite bathrooms, providing thus an authentic, warm and inviting atmosphere. There is private parking for each cottage.
The easily maintained landscaped grounds contain a secluded outdoor barbecue area, a Scandinavian sauna, a landscaped courtyard, an office, stables, a sand arena and a grass paddock.
The current worldwide rental market is mainly derived from the present owners’ affiliation with Resorts Condominium International (RCI), based in the UK, who has resorts and members from all over the world. RCI members will only visit resorts that are affiliated with the organisation, hence there is a unique rental guest market. As there are only two or three other RCI affiliated resorts in Ireland, Dangan Lodge cottages are in great demand. Additionally, there is a link to another agent, based in Canada, who markets the cottages to RCI affiliated holiday clubs in the United States and Canada. Dangan Cottages opened for rentals in June 2005 and had a high take up for the weeks up to November 2005. The cottages re-opened in February 2006 and had a regular flow of guests – expected occupancy figures for the period April – October: approximately 80 %.
