The property is situated 3 miles from Castlepollard, which is a busy town with an extensive triangular green surrounded by 19th century buildings at its centre. The town is east of Lough Derravaragh and a good angling center for the Westmeath lake lands. Tullynally Castle, the residence of Lord Longford, is one mile west of the village and the famous gardens are open to the public during the summer.
DESCRIPTION
Lickbla House is a charming mill house set well off the road on its own 21 acres of land. The property is approached along a tree lined drive, which continues over the River Glore and leads to the front of the house. There is separate entrance from the road to the rear courtyards.

The golf enthusiast is well catered for in the surrounding area with five quality golf courses within half an hours drive. The five golf courses are Glasson Golf and Country Club, Moate Golf Club, Mount Temple Golf Course, Mullingar & Delvin Golf Club.
RACING
Race-goers are well catered for with Kilbeggan Race Course. The newly laid Derravarragh gallops are approx. 10 miles away.
ANGLING
For the keen angler within a short distance will bring you to some of the most beautiful lakes in Ireland which has earned Mullingar the title of "The Capital of the Lakelands". Mullingar is synonymous with some of the best known trout waters in Ireland - Lake Derraravagh is just outside Castlepollard, while Lough Ennell, Owel and Lough Sheelin are also in the vicinity. Also available are some of the best coarse angling in the country. Species such as pike, perch, bream, rudd, tench and carp can be found in rivers, lakes and canals.
HUNTING AND SHOOTING
A choice of hunting packs are available to the keen horseman including the Westmeath hunt, Ballymacads, the Meaths, the Tara Harriers which are all within easy boxing distance.
EDUCATION
There are a number of primary schools and play schools in the locality, with secondary education available in Mullingar & Castlepollard. Wilson Hospital Private School is in Multyfarnham, 7 miles away.

The majority of the buildings have been renovated to a standard to make them sound and usable. In the Middle courtyard, great car has been put in to the garages and the studio.
Also in the Middle courtyard there is the oldest mill building which dates back to 1793 (as inscribed on a plaque), This building has been capped, but does not have a roof. The Mill race runs along side.
The courtyards are approached by their own separate entrance, or can be accessed via an arch on the right hand side of Lickbla House.
There is power available in all the Mill buildings.
LAND
The land is laid out around the house and in two separate fields to the east. There is good road frontage on to two roads. There are electric fences through out the pasture land, which is controlled from courtyard 2.

DIRECTIONS
From Dublin take the N4 to Mullingar, take the 3rd exit for Mullingar, sign posted Castlepollard. Crossing the motorway take the R394 for Castlepollard. Entering into Castlepollard, veer to the left which is sign posted Edgeworthstown and Finea, continue straight for Finea. Drive for 3.3 miles/ 5.3 km, take a left turn signed for Coole. Lickbla House is 0.2 miles/0.32kms on the left hand side. Enter through second gate.
