Ulusker House is a magnificent country house in a wonderful setting
situated on the outskirts of Adrigole village and within a short distance of the coastline.

 

The house which has been extremely well restored by the current owners has maintained its charm and many of its period features.
The large entrance hall has a maple, cherry and Cerwin parquetry floor with an inlaid compass design. This leads on to a very comfortable and cosy sitting room with a tiger oak solid wood floor and a period fireplace.

 

The large dining room has parquetry wood floors and a period cast iron fireplace with access to the sunroom. This has floor to ceiling double glazed windows and a ceramic limestone floor with electric underfloor heating which makes an excellent setting from which to enjoy the views over the landscaped gardens, coastline and mountains.

 

The reception rooms, master bedroom and balcony are linked to a central sound system, individually controlled.

 

Each of the five bedrooms takes on a different theme with many original and ornate features. Examples of this are the reclaimed cast
iron radiators, antique French towel radiator, reclaimed arched church doors, cast iron roll top bath, ornate cornices, ceiling roses and
dado rails.

 

Two of the bedrooms have access onto a balcony with wonderful views over Bantry Bay, the surrounding countryside and coastline.
In a very private setting, approached by a quiet country lane. A pathway leads through the extremely well landscaped mature gardens
with many flowering plants and shrubs including hydrangeas, roses, specialist tulips and a number of specimen trees such as eucalyptus,
maple, myrtle and laurel.

 

There is a detached guest cottage which has been restored with the same care and attention as the main house, incorporating one
bedroom, bathroom, living area and kitchen. Other exceptional features are the traditional fireplace and a stained glass window.
Adrigole, which is part of the Beara Peninsula, is set amongst some of the finest scenery in Ireland. The unspoilt rugged landscape is a
walkers paradise whilst the coastline is simply breathtaking. Adrigole harbour is home to Irelands premiere sailing centre.  Castletownbere and Glengarriff are within close proximity and offer a large number of facilities including a 9 hole golf course. Cork city
and airport are approx. 1.5 hour drive.
