Description

A captivating hillside setting on manageable terraced gardens of about quarter of an acre make this detached two-storey cottage-style residence most appealing - commanding amazing views eastwards over Greystones and Delgany to the Irish Sea on the horizon. Real country living in close touch with a welcoming community, beside Willow Grove and Kilpedder; minutes' drive from the amenities of Greystones and Delgany, and most convenient to the N11 for commuters. With c. 102.87sq.m / 1,107sq.ft living accommodation featuring a first-floor gallery lounge with the most breath-taking views, this is a perfect "retreat" in touch with amenities.

The Glen of the Downs is one of the "Garden County's" gateway scenic amenities, and Rose Cottage is situated just west and right above it, providing great views and an idyllic setting in touch with amenities yet beside hill-walking tracks and forestry.

City-bound bus services connect Delgany (and Greystones DART) with Willow Grove locally; and there are good schools, leisure facilities, and shopping in the area. The property has been carefully maintained, and viewers will appreciate the well-proportioned rooms and their versatile layout, with bedrooms on ground and first floor.

Location of property

From Dublin south on the N11 / M11 via Kilmacanogue and the Glen of the Downs. Take the exit left signed Delgany and at the bottom of the slip-road turn right at the mini-roundabout back under "Barry's Bridge" and rejoin the northbound N11 but turning immediately left off the hard shoulder, to head south again uphill along the "old" N11, towards Willow Grove. Take the first turn right (opposite an old school / cottage in ruins), and keep right at the next fork proceeding uphill to what is known locally as the "Downs Village". When you see some light-industrial / store buildings turn right into a laneway. Cross some "speed bumps" by the gates to the "Downs House", and continue up the lane. "Rose Cottage" is the next residence on the left.
