DIRECTIONS FROM BELFAST

Belfast-Armagh. Take the Armagh to Monaghan road passing through the village of Middletown before you come to the border. About 2 miles past Middletown there is a Statoil petrol station on the border. After passing over the border, drive on this road for approximately 2 miles before taking a right turn sign posted for the village of Glaslough, continue on this road until you meet the Castle Leslie Estate wall, follow it into the village of Glaslough and up to the gates of the estate. When inside the gates, you will see the Hunting Lodge on your left and the car park on your right hand side.

Follow the signs from Shannon to Limerick along the N18 when you arrive in Limerick take the N7 to Dublin until you reach the ring road (M50) around the City and follow the M50 to the N2 for Monaghan.

From Dublin City Centre head towards the M1 sign posted Belfast, Dublin Airport (port Tunnel from south side of city). From the airport following the signs for M1 for Belfast. If you are coming from M50, turn off the M50 for the M1 Belfast. Once on the M1 follow the M1 for approximately 35 miles and take the turn for Ardee. Just before Ardee go straight through the roundabouts and take the third roundabout for N2 â DO NOT GO INTO ARDEE. Follow the N2 (signed for Derry) on to Carickmacross bypass and Castleblayney bypass. Continue forward for approximately 20 minutes towards Monaghan until you come to the first roundabout; take the second exit of this roundabout sign posted for Derry. Continue forward to the second roundabout take the first exit off this roundabout, continue forward to the third roundabout, take the third exit off this roundabout sign posted for Armagh, continue on this road for approximately two miles until you see a signpost for Glaslough on your left hand side, turn left here. Continue on this road until you meet the Castle Leslie Estate wall. Follow it into the village of Glaslough and up to the gates of the estate.
If you are leaving Dublin on a Friday, try and leave the city by 4.00pm at the latest as the traffic North is extremely busy and can add up to 45 minutes to your journey. Alternatively if you leave Dublin after 7.00pm the journey to the castle takes two hours. Dinner is served until 9.30pm on a Friday.
