Tralee's Aquadome is one of Ireland's largest and most modern indoor water leisure facilities incorporating a leisure pool, waves, rapids, water slide, sauna, outdoor adventure play area with crazy golf and model boats. Tralee Golf Club, the first course in Europe designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer, has developed a superb 18 hole course at Barrow some 9 miles from Tralee. In addition there are a number of 9 hole courses in the town. There are numerous clubs which cater for Gaelic games, soccer, rugby, tennis, badminton, boating & angling, Bowling Alley, Snooker Hall, Indoor Kiddies Adventure Centre, and Equestrian Centre in the town. It is also very well served by places to eat out ranging from quality pubs to award winning restaurants.
Tralee has many attractions, which would be expected, in a town of its size including a cinema, The Kingdom Greyhound Track & Siamsa Tire (Ireland's National Folk Theatre) which continues to attract worldwide critical acclaim for its adaptations of Irish folklore, music and dance. Tralee is home to the internationally renowned Rose of Tralee Festival, which is held in the town each August. This Festival is followed by a six-day race meeting at the Ballybeggan course adjacent to the town. A two day meeting is also held in June each year. During Easter, there is annual week long arts festival.
