Annsborough is a village in County Down, situated in the A25 road between Downpatrick and Newry. It is located approximately 0.5 miles to the east of Castlewellan and 10.5 miles to the south west of Downpatrick.
Annsborough village is situated within the natural valley setting of The Mourne Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and was originally developed as a mill village in the valley of The Clarkhill and Ballybannon Rivers.
The village benefits from local amenities such as a shop, post office, playing field and also Annsborough Controlled Integrated Primary School which was opened in 1997. The neighbouring larger village of Castlewellan is only a
couple of minutes drive and boasts a variety of shops and the magnificent 17th Century castle at Castlewellan Forest Park.
