STUNNING STRANGFORD SHOWHOME ATTRACTS HUGE INTEREST

31st Aug 2012

Ferry Quarter Development Set For Sunday Openings.

Ferry Quarter, a 17 acre estate in Strangford, overlooking The Narrows, originally owned by none other than the Marquis of Londonderry, saw potential buyers from all over Northern Ireland travel to the recent launch weekend.

The Marquis of Londonderry also owned the beautiful Mount Stewart on the Ards Peninsula – now one of the National Trust’s most popular destinations in Northern Ireland. “We rarely come across a development as exclusive as this,” states Caroline McGovern at BTWCairns: “The estate; the location; the views and the calibre of property being built here make it truly unique.”

The huge demand for the stunning new development has resulted in permanent open hours every Sunday between 2-4pm - until the end of October. Numerous properties have already been sold with customers starting to buy additional properties off the plan, such is the demand to secure their piece of this historic site.

The launch of the exclusive development, in a most beautiful part of Down, means potential buyers have the opportunity to enjoy estate-life with views across The Narrows, and live in an area of historical significance – all within easy walking distance of Strangford village. Prices start from £185,000.

Ferry Quarter will eventually accommodate over 20 houses within the private estate, with a mixture of detached and semi-detached residences to compliment the rural setting and existing dwellings. Many original features of the estate will remain including the original water tower, a walled kitchen garden, along with wooded parkland on the shores of the Lough – all of which enjoy fabulous views across The Narrows.

Caroline continues: “The second stage of the development will be announced in early 2013 and is scheduled to include a wider mix of property types. We strongly recommend potential buyers visit the estate to get a feel for the exclusive nature of this development.”

The 1,500 sq ft Gate Lodge showhouse, which opens for public viewing 2-4pm every Sunday from now until the end of October, is situated with large landscaped gardens surrounding the residence. The detached home has been designed to compliment the estate and the rural location – whilst providing many modern features including generously proportioned open plan living and high quality turnkey specifications.
