Local family to promote wood pellet fuel

The environmentally friendly focused Wilson family from Broughshane in Ballymena have beaten off stiff competition from 120 other families from throughout Ireland to win a competition ran by local wood pellet manufacturer Balcas.
The Enniskillen based company launched their competition earlier this year to find a real life family to be the faces of their brites wood pellets domestic marketing campaign. The main aim of the campaign is to continue to raise the profile and confidence of wood fuel within Ireland and the UK and promote the benefits of using wood pellets to homeowners.
True professionals and naturals on camera mum (Lorna), dad (David) and children Poppy (aged 5) and Rory (aged 3) did a super job at their exclusive photo shoot according to Paula Keelagher, brites Market Development Manager who commented; “The Wilson family were a pleasure to work with and did a super job at the photo shoot. brites are an environmentally friendly fuel and we wanted to use a real life family who actively use brites for their heating and hot water requirements to lead our domestic marketing campaign because this complements what we are all about.”
“It also helps us to illustrate the real benefits of installing a wood pellet boiler and using brites in your home. These benefits include the potential cost savings of up to £665 per year on your energy bills, reduced CO2 emissions and peace of mind to know that your fuel is from a sustainable and local source which offers security of supply. The 3,500 domestic customers who are already using brites throughout Ireland and the UK are also seeing for themselves that brites are as efficient and convenient as conventional fossil fuels” adds Paula.
The Wilson family were asked to capture their perfect ‘brites moment’ in a photograph which illustrated how they as a family enjoy the warmth and comfort of their brites heated home. As well as the chance to feature on all brites marketing literature the family also won a year’s supply of brites for their wood pellet boiler, lots of branded goodies including cosy bath robes and the latest ipad to make their online ordering of brites even easier.
