The house was built circa 1780 and boasts an impressive
history, including its function as a base for the American
Troops and Generals during the second world war.
Artefacts can still be observed on the grounds of the
property to this day.

original marble fireplaces in all of the rooms, solid pine
floors throughout, fully functioning slide and sash windows
and shutters, ceiling cornicing with the most intricate
detailing and all fittings and fixtures are very carefully
integrated. The result is an overwhelming and impressive
example of preserved history.

The main house is exquisitely spread over ground floor, first floor and basement
level. The ground floor comprises 4 breath taking rooms including a library/dining
room which seats 26 people, an ornate drawing room and a luxurious sitting room.
Each room has been lavishly decorated in period style with
heavy embroidered curtains, gilded mirrors and stunning
furniture of the era. The rooms are warm and inviting with
stunning views from every window.

The Gardener’s Cottage is another example of a
wonderful restoration project and sits snugly on the
grounds of the property. The abode has been delicately
reinstated to its former glory and is the most perfect,
quaint home. It is finished beautifully with original stone
work and backs onto uninterrupted landscapes.
The owner’s passion for this property required that the
gatelodge be rebuilt on its original site at the end of the
tree lined avenue and once again one can observe the
detail and care taken to preserve the history of this
magnificent site through the resurrection of this
wonderful building.
