Readers Park

Readers Park offers a refreshing and exciting new approach to home living; it is set to become one of the most talked about and sought-after new developments in Northern Ireland.
The award-winning architect Des Ewing has designed stunning new homes blended within a landscape of rich maturity. Readers Park boasts low-density housing of a quality and finish you would expect from an individually designed home.

A classically designed Crescent will provide a truly iconic feature within Readers Park, acting as a focal point for the development. The mix of detached and semi-detached homes are formed around this and offer a selection of brick and rendered houses.
Readers Park offers the best of both town and country living, set on the edge of the expanding market town of Ballyclare. Here you will find a range of shops, schools and amenities – as well as ease of access to Belfast and the rest of Northern Ireland.

Homes
Individual homes have striking elevations to suit both the traditionalist and the contemporary purchaser.
The mix of homes is deceptively simple. Some exude a sense of quality and timelessness, inspired by traditional architecture reflecting the style and character of homes generally found in the area. These are complemented by stylish, fresh contemporary homes. Together, they combine to offer a truly exceptional and desirable place to live. Interior planning has been carefully researched and implemented to provide a natural flow of accommodation and practical storage within each home.
This ensures a living experience that provides just that little more than the norm.
Well-planned living areas can comfortably accommodate all occupants whilst relaxing.  Bedroom accommodation offers generous rooms, ensuring space for wardrobes and storage. The bathrooms and ensuites have been designed to suit the style of each house type, offering excellent utilisation of space.
Private gardens at the rear of each property are complemented by the extensive park space being incorporated into the development.
The seamless transition between internal and external living space underlines the success of the design.

Westlands
The Westlands Masterplan for the expansion of Ballyclare is underpinned by delivering a sustainable, high quality neighbourhood that will be easily accessed from the new Westlands Road As one of the largest private sector investments within Northern Ireland, the Westlands Road will create a 3.1km corridor to the west and north of Ballyclare, connecting the three key movement routes within the town.
The tree-lined Westlands Road will be delivered by holm, alongside investments in two major park land areas and an extensive network of green spaces, incorporating existing features such as Ross’s Avenue and Six Mile Water making an environment everyone can enjoy.  The creation of two commercial hubs within the development will offer local shopping and services, providing residents with all the benefits of modern urban living within a truly rural environment.

10 Key Considerations When Buying a Home

Value
House prices vary according to size, location and quality. Have you given thought to how each of these impacts on the house you are considering? Are you buying in an area of high- or low-density housing? What affect will this have on your long-term living plans? What are your key value requirements?

Location
Location is one of the most significant considerations when buying a property. Will you be within commuting distance of work? Will you be near to main trunk routes? Is there easy access to Belfast, airports and the rest of Northern Ireland? Will you be close to public transport? If you use schools, leisure facilities, shopping amenities etc, are they nearby? Choosing a house that ticks all these boxes should contribute to an increase in the house value in the future.

Local Community
Is there an established community with churches, clubs, services, leisure facilities that you would expect? Can you become involved and part of the existing community? How can you help or influence the extension and development of the local community? Consider the proximity of local shops, emergency services, doctors, dentists, childcare, retirement clubs, parks or other variants that you consider important in your decision.

Life Quality
How will the house you buy enable you to maintain or improve the quality of your life? Consider all the factors that affect you and your family’s needs – factors that must be accommodated in any new home. In this way you can be sure that your quality of living only stands to improve in the future.

Living Space
When buying, it’s important to look at the space of the house in relation to your specific needs. What is your priority; is it living space, bedroom space or perhaps a good functional kitchen? How will your home work for you in relation to the space that is available? How will you live in the space and maintain it? After all, you want both a well designed home and one that is aesthetically pleasing.

Internal Space

So the house is aesthetically pleasing and has the rooms you require – but is it really practical? Has it been designed with thought for where everything goes? Has it the versatility to adapt to your needs? If you have lots of sports equipment or out-of-season clothes, is there room to store them? How will the house work for you and your family? Have you room/space to live?
Quality of Finish
Generally, the better the house is finished, the easier the move-in becomes and a quicker, smoother settling-in period occurs. Has careful thought and design gone into the final finish of the house? What amount of maintenance will need to be carried out? Will you be provided with all warranties and after-care details? Remember, the design of new houses is becoming more technical (electrics, plumbing, etc) so ensure you know what you are buying into and if it has a proven track record.

Gardens

The garden of a house can potentially give you an extra room, and is a welcome addition – at any time of the year. Have you an enclosed private area that is still aesthetically pleasing? How will you use this space? Do you have a patio/lawn/ornamental lawn? Would you like to have any or all of these? Is there any space for a garage if you need one?

Growth

When choosing a new home, consider the space you need for now and how much you think you’ll need in the future. As your family grows or expands, is your new home large enough to accommodate that growth? Are the rooms adaptable to your growing needs, can the bedroom become a study or even a home office?

Access
Good parking. Good public transport. Good international links. These are all things you should be thinking about. How long does it take to get to Belfast? How far away is the airport? Is there a garage where you can park your car securely?
